Segovia and more

Well This is a mix of a few shots. Some are in Segovia, and one is from the Roman ruins in Toledo. The night shot is in Madrid. I guess the Spanish haven't received the memo that there is a recession going on:) It was like time square on new years eve with all of the christmas shoppers.

Playing in the Ruins

We found these old ruins down by the River. We climbed up and had a bit of fun. It is really humbling to think of the amazing history here. Toledo was at one point the capital of Spain. It was held by the Romans, Jews, Christians, and Muslims at different times. Wars pretty much always went along with the change in power. There are several city walls built by the different groups, each one farther down the mountain. This ruin was part of a tower on the bottom wall. The history is so interesting here, but to think that people had real lives here for thousands of years is pretty awe inspiring.

Toledo Spain... AKA home for a couple of weeks :)

Well, those visiting my blog for the next few weeks will be seeing plenty of my boys, and some of spain too. Hope you can get a feel for what an amazing place this is! Im having a blast playing with the new Canon 5d mark II. Though to be honest, with two three year olds, I am not shooting quite as much as I would like.
