I would love a little input... I was messing around with a few new logo ideas, and like this one. I am going for something a little more artistic. Let me know if you hate it...

I don't like it. The stem is cutting through "photography". I don't really see what the leaf/stem adds to the concept or how it represents your work. It seems to just be thrown in there.
I agree that it cuts into the "photography" part too much. And the e-o-n at the end kind of looks like e-a-n. But I do like the general idea behind it.
my honest opinion is... maybe the leaf should go horizontal under photography?? it just looks cut in half by the leaf but other than that its great!! :)
I'm gonna have to give that one a thumbs down... {but what do I know, I can't even come up with a logo for myself} I guess I just like yours the way it is... plus it's already on your car...lol
Hey there Jimmy, as a graphic artist, I would say that this logo doesn't live up to your work. If you want a logo to be as professional as your own photography, I would suggest you work with a designer to create a unique identity for yourself. Also, if you create a logo, you would ideally want your complete identity to be cohesive (i.e. including your website). I love your work and would only expect to see a great logo compliment it.
I like the one you use now better. The two fonts of Gideon cause confusion. (IE is it one word or two? especially with the stem/leave breaking up the fonts). Interesting idea, but I just don't think it works well.

Carl
maybe thats true about it cutting into the o, maybe make them stem shorter, but leave it there.. its artsy. and it breaks up the two fonts.
I think its bombin!
I don't love it either...

I'm not really a fan of it.

Maybe fix the o so it doesn't look like an a. But otherwise it is good.

I like the new logo I do agree though that the leaf/stem kind of cuts through photography but I think it looks fine with or with out the leaf/stem.
It's unique and has a definite artistic look-
I like the brown- let's see how it looks w/ the all cursive font?
I like the different fonts combined- the stem is subtle enough that it doesn't take away from the logo, it's fun and unique!

I LOVE IT! Its sweet! And I especially love the leaf! :)
